This is a healthy alternative to store-bought smoked and excessively salted nuts. My kids love the salty flavor the tamari gives to the almonds and pumpkin seeds. I carry this in a little baggy and my kids happily dig in for handfuls of nuts on the go!
Ingredients for Tamari Salted Pumpkin Seeds and Almond Mix
- 3 cups almonds, raw
- 1 cup pumpkin seeds, raw
- 4 T. Tamari (wheat-free soy sauce)

Directions for Tamari Salted Pumpkin Seeds and Almond Mix
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Spread the almonds and pumpkin seeds on a cookie sheet.
Bake for 8 minutes to lightly toast.
Put them immediately in a small mixing bowland sprinkle on the tamari.
Stir until well-coated.
Spread them back on the baking sheet to dry.
